also, I'm having these urges to make a big Amazon order... but weirdly I can't think of any knitting books I'm really coveting. Any ideas?

'Unexpected Knitting' by Debbie New is my favourite knitting book. It's more for inspiration than patterns, although there are some that you can riff off if you so desire. It's just so beautiful and uplifting, and the writing is fantastic.
